I also like the idea of more pets for the AGTs... a fish, a guinea pig, a bird... I would also like a more affordable bed for the AGTs... hmm, I could brainstorm this all day!
But, I'd actually like the historicals to have more attention than the AGTs. I'd love to see a completely brand-new historical doll, not just friends dolls.
Yes, Scenes and Settings for all the girls!
And finally, can Samantha please have a pair of all-black button-up boots like she wears in her books? Pretty please with a cherry on top? I've been waiting since 1993! I know others have been waiting even longer!
I agree with a lot of the above ideas, so I'll include some of them in my list, too.
Continue the Historical Girl's Stories with more adventures for each (my dds just LOVE the new mysteries, but they read them so fast that they need MORE!)
Put the Historical Doll Stories and real girl (and family) Paper Dolls back in the magazine...please! My dds love paper dolls and these are such a wonderful way to learn history about a real girl's family.
Make more Historical Clothes for Girls (no more than $75 or $80 each, preferably less), especially Christmas dresses. My dds are so sad that they are growing out of the Addy and Molly dresses they've been wearing every Christmas for 3 years now (I bought them big )
Please bring back the Scenes and Settings. Maybe make them out of that lighter foam, to make them lighter to ship. They are so great for play and we wish we could afford Felicity's.
Please bring back the pretty traditional green Christmas Tree from a few years ago, with the pretty brightly colored ornaments, not dull dreary colors like the last one, and the sweet little Present Wrapping Set with tiny scissors and tape.
More realistic looking Food that doesn't look modern, so it can be used for both historical and AGOTs.
Could you have a Bits and Pieces catalog (like Fisher Price does) or a section of the website where we could purchase small things like socks, hair bands, food items, little things that we could fill our orders with. Maybe even list them by price???
Please give us a complete Historical Christmas Catalog again so my dds can pour over it and make their Wish Lists for Santa. It is so hard for them (and me) when we have to go back and forth between 5 or 6 catalogs, from different times of the year to try to remember what all they've been wanting throughout the year. (we only get AG things that we ask for at Christmas and Birthday)
Bring back some more of the Retired Historical things, changing them just a little, so as not to impact the huge secondary market. (like Samantha's adorable bathing costume...my dd loves it!)
I, too, love Felicity's old Red Hair, so more red-haired dolls would be great. I also love Auburn or Green eyes. I think the dolls with waves and curls are beautiful. I still love bangs, though.
It was nice when we'd open our AG box and sometimes you'd insert a little Surprise Freebie, like a backpack book or something. I miss that.
Ideas for new dolls: I agree with most of the other ladies ideas, so I'll include some of them in my list, too.
Southern Belle Doll from before the Civil War (gorgeous dresses!)
1920's Doll from before the depression (more affluent, lots of fun Shirley Temple inspired outfits, flapper outfit, etc.)
1950's Doll with sock hopper outfit, etc.
Asian Gold Rush Doll from San Francisco (1849?)
Pilgrim Doll. What a wonderful idea this is! So much history to learn about. Maybe even an early colonist, like from Jamestown? What great accessories she could have!
Thank you so much for AGPLA and for bringing Felicity back! My dds are thrilled!
